This article argues that drawing, understood as a tool for visually communicating an architecturalproject, plays different roles in architectural thought and praxis by studying the case ofthe architect Danilo Veras (1949-2007), analyzing the variety of drawings he made and how theyformed an essential part of his exemplary, unrepeatable way of working, in which drawing,designing and building were indistinguishable tasks.
